Scott Murray, RLA, LEED AP, Division Manager
Scott Murray is a versatile, innovative and experienced landscape architect, specializing in land use planning and the design of parks, recreation facilities and public space amenities. His work during the past 25+ years includes a variety of mixed-use, infill campus communities, marinas, and recreation facilities, as well as community parks and greenways. As a LEED AP, Scott approaches all projects with consideration for green building practices and long-term sustainability. Among his recent projects, East 54 in Chapel Hill, NC was awarded LEED Gold Certification for Neighborhood Development.
CES Group's Landscape Architecture & Planning Division provides service on a wide range of private land development and public space amenity projects, including coordination, facilitation and documentation of zoning entitlements, site planning and design. Both private development and public space improvement projects that originate in this division typically encompass coordination and implementation of planning functions, landscape and hardscape design, site lighting design, and signage plan preparation, all of which can be accomplished in accordance with LEED standards.
The Landscape Architecture & Planning Division staff also works hand in hand with Civil Engineering & Geomatics Division, bringing an artistic perspective to infrastructure design, and resulting in much more functional, aesthetic and sustainable private developments and public spaces, while adding real value.
"We have retained Scott Murray's services on many of our North Carolina projects, and rely on his ability to transition from urban to rural developments. His experience and knowledge of design and construction techniques and approval processes is an invaluable asset to any team."
