Landscape Architecture & Planning Division Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program. Professional registration as a Landscape Architect in North Carolina; SC registration a plus. Ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible landscape architecture and planning experience, including project and design team management. Ability to lead and further develop a team of landscape architects and designers, and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, in close cooperation with the Civil Engineering Division.
Civil Project Engineers
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited engineering program, with five (5) to ten (10) years of land development and/or public infrastructure design experience required. Professional Engineering License in North Carolina or South Carolina, or ability to obtain within six (6) months required. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. Transportation project and/or MicroStation experience a plus. Must be able to independently perform calculations and design tasks, and prepare reports, construction drawings and associated project deliverables with limited direction, while managing resources and budgets for multiple projects. Successful candidates must possess good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with other project team members, clients and government agencies.
Level I Civil Engineers
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited engineering program, with zero (0) to two (2) years of experience required. Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred. One (1) year or more of experience in land development, or applicable internship, is preferred, along with AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency. Transportation project and/or MicroStation experience a plus.
Civil Design Technicians
Experience with land development / site design required. Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D required. Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred. Transportation project and/or MicroStation experience a plus.
Geomatics Project Manager
Reports to the Geomatics Division Manager, and interfaces with Clients, other Geomatics Project Managers and Field Crew Chiefs. Six (6) years or more of applicable land surveying experience, including familiarity with robotic and GPS equipment and field surveying techniques and practices. Ability to perform calculations, manage resources, direct daily field activities for multiple crews and projects, review data and prepare survey documentation. Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson survey software required. Experience with Trimble Business Center a plus. Associate's Degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline is a plus, but not required. Professional Land Surveying License (PLS) is preferred, but not required.
Survey Crew Chiefs
Five (5) years or more of field surveying experience required. Ability to consistently and accurately collect field data in an organized and professional manner for projects that include, but are not limited to, boundary/ALTA, topographic, design, construction staking and as-built surveys. Experience with Trimble robotic total stations, Trimble data collectors and Trimble GPS equipment preferred.
Natural Resource Specialist
Five (5) or more years of experience in performing tasks such as stream and wetland assessment, delineation and monitoring, NEPA environmental assessments, threatened and endangered species surveys, and CWA permitting through USACE and other agencies. Excellent oral communication, technical writing and organizational skills are required.
Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Operations Manager
Ten (10) or more years of experience with SUE operations and management is required. Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively interface with other project team members, clients and government agencies.
Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Analyst
Requires three (3) to five (5) years of applicable utility services experience, including planning, coordination and operation of a field crew in the use of geophysical equipment to locate and document underground utility system features. Demonstrated proficiency with current SUE locating equipment and geomatics equipment is needed.
Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technicians
Two (2) or more years of experience with ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic and sonic methods and equipment to perform horizontal and vertical location of underground utilities.
